Formal Name: Formal Dragon names are often abstract and poetic depictions of a situation, idea or landscape, such as “Rivers of Fire Through Forests Burn”. Nicknames then tend to be one word from this sentence (here, “Rivers”). It isn’t unusual for dragons to change their names as eras pass.
Pronouns: List your pronouns.
Romance Preference: if your character is open for romance with other player characters, draw a heart on your character sheet. If not, leave it blank, or draw something else to represent that. You can change your mind and update the symbol later during play.
Harm Preference: if you are open to your character getting hurt by other player characters, draw a skull on your character sheet. If not, leave it blank or draw something else. You can change your mind and update the symbol later during play.
Kin: Choose a Kin from the following page:
Age: Dragons can live eons, growing larger and stronger as they age. Dragons are considered juvenile until they are 50, young until they are 200, adult until they are 2000, old until they are 6000 and ancient beyond that.
Blood: Pick from your Kin's list, or decide your own.
Scent: Pick your usual scent from your Kin’s list, or decide your own.
Diadem: All dragons breathe fire, but choose an additional power, your Diadem, from your Kin's list, or decide your own.
Qualities: Pick two from your Kin's list, or decide your own.
Appearance: Describe how you appear in your true, draconic form. Your Kin’s description contains a few features that are typical of your brethren. Remember that, as a powerful shapeshifter, your true form shifts as your perception of yourself changes, and you can alter it at will (or instinctively, following your mood).
Masks: Describe your three preferred non-dragon forms. Dragons can take the form of people, animals, mythological creatures, plants or even objects. It's not rare for a dragon to use masks that present different genders than the one they've chosen (such as a masculine dragon taking the appearance of an elf woman or a feminine dragon taking the appearance of a stag). You should have at least one humanoid mask.
Mood: Pick your three most common emotions from the list below, or decide your own, and describe how it affects your appearance, scent and behavior: Happiness / Sadness / Anger / Fear / Pride / Shame / Jealousy / Contempt / Grief / Excitation / Amusement / Passion / Love / Desire / Nervousness Add more later as you perform them during play.
Hoard: Your hoard is the collection of everything you have appropriated as yours: your riches, your subjects, your lands. Anything that you could move to your lair has now been pilled there, and sleeping on this altar to excess grants you better control over your dreams. List here three invaluable artefacts, people or places that belong to you, which might overlap with your “Peoples, Places and Features” on the World Sheet.
A Loyal Princess / Devout Knight-Cultists / A Gifted Storyteller / Cursed Coins / The King-Making Sword / A Divine Relic / A Small Kingdom / The Firespewing Mountain / A Life-Giving Lake
During play, whenever an element would be added to the World Sheet, you may lay claim to it: if the other dragons vote that your claim is reasonable, add it to your hoard, otherwise it is left unclaimed. As you play courtly games, free conversation might involve transactions, gifts, conquests or theft. Update your hoard to reflect any such gain or loss.
Secrets: Fill each of the following prompts. These secrets are things that give power over you to anyone who knows them. When you are prompted to give a secret, choose which one. When someone is prompted to learn one of your secrets, they choose which one (though they must know all your other secrets in order to learn your True Name). You might also share secrets through simple conversation.
Bonds: Make an entry for each of your fellow dragons so that you can record how you view them. Make a list for each of their secrets, so you may record which ones you've learned. Whenever you are prompted to give one of your secrets, you may give one of theirs instead. Similarly, whenever another dragon is prompted to learn one of your secrets, they may ask for one of these. However, if they ask for a secret you do not have, (for ex. ”Give me Waves’ True Name” when you only know his Soft Spot and Scandal) they learn nothing.
